Where We Excel

St. Boniface School is proud of its rich history. We recognize that first and foremost, we are a parish and from that solid foundation we offer many opportunities to deepen one`s faith and experience of community. St. Boniface School is just one of many ways that we reach out to our families. It is through this recognition, that our strengths blossom: Our spirituality, our academic offering, our resources, and our people.

Catholic Faith
Our Catholic faith is the cornerstone of a St. Boniface education. Students of St. Boniface school are given countless opportunities to experience God in their daily lives, including morning and afternoon prayer, weekly mass where the students plan and participate as cantors, readers, servers, and gift bearers, religion classes, Sacrament participation, and retreats. In these daily acts, our students learn that with faith everything is possible.

Our mission statement is based on our Catholic identity and we strive to live up to our mission daily. Father Jeff Goeckner, our Pastor, Laura Kretzer, our principal, and Laura Jones, our science instructor and religious coordinator, bring a daily presence of reverence and respect in their example our students are reminded to bring God`s wisdom and guidance into their every effort. At St. Boniface we truly create, learn, live, love, laugh and play in God’s image.

Academics
St. Boniface has a tradition of academic excellence. All of the traditional courses (reading, writing, math, science, social studies, etc.) form a solid core for our students to build upon. As we teach children 21st century skills through our challenging curriculum, we encourage the discovery and self-expression of their God-given talents and gifts.

Our school continues to expand and utilize technology into the students’ daily learning environment with ChromeBooks and iPads. Our computer lab allows students in grades K-8 to participate in daily computer activities from Accelerated Reader to Keyboarding. Computers in the class rooms, and the incorporation of Smart Boards expand their educational experience. Furthermore, our faculty and staff continue to enhance the academic experience for our students with such offerings as an Art Program and the addition of Spanish as a foreign language. Our students excel academically, as shown by our high Terra Nova standardized testing scores school wide (our students consistently exceed Diocesan and National Averages in all testing categories by 5 – 15 percentage points). St. Boniface provides a bedrock foundation for academic achievement in high school and beyond. Over 60% of our graduates go on to achieve High Honor Roll or Honor Roll at their respective high schools.

Faculty and Staff
St. Boniface has a talented and dedicated staff. Many of our teachers have post graduate degrees in education. For grades 5-8, we have teachers with specific areas of expertise and experience to expand the depth of content covered. We are proud of our wonderful balance of teaching experience. In no time at St. Boniface, you begin to feel like you are part of an extended family, where everyone cares about the development of your child.
Parish and School Spirit
There is a tremendous spirit at St. Boniface. Parent volunteers help with various activities at the school, and through fundraisers. One great example of the school spirit is the renovation of the school classrooms. Parents and parishioners teamed up and donated their talents (architecture, engineering, construction) and materials along with planning the project from start to finish. Work was completed during weekends, holidays, and over summer break. The parish and school bonded and grew closer with the united accomplishment.

We invite you to call the school at (618) 656-6917 and arrange a tour in our newly renovated school and see for yourself where we have been and where we are going next.
